In order to investigate the effect of tension–compression asymmetry propellant mechanical properties on structural integrity a Nitrate Ester Plasticized Polyether (NEPE) grain, unified constitutive equations under tension and compression were established, new method for grain assessment was proposed NEPE combined axial transverse overloads evaluated.
